This year's sixth St. Moritz Art Masters [SAM), which will take place in Switzerland from today to 1 September will feature involvement from both Mercedes-Benz and its in-house tuning arm, Mercedes-AMG. The two Daimler brands will feature works of art devoted entirely to the Middle Kingdom, otherwise known as China.
“China is an important country with enormous potential - and not just in economic terms. We are therefore proud to be able to showcase the work of two of China's acclaimed contemporary artists, namely Fang Lijun and Li Li, here in St. Moritz”, explains Andreas von Wallfeld, Head of Shows, Exhibitions & Events, Mercedes-Benz Cars. “In this way we aim to help promote awareness of the Middle Kingdom's creative output among an even wider audience.”
In celebration of the eleven-millionth fan of the official Mercedes-Benz Facebook page, one of the artists will create a special painting for the occasion, which will be completed live.
The final touch on the canvas will be delivered on 31 August, so the result will be presented to the public during the Mercedes-Benz Cars Night, part of the art event. You can check out a selection of the art pieces that will be exposed to the public at the event in the following photo gallery.
