We always like to say that beauty and taste are in the eye of the beholder. Well, this time, we'd like to first give you a mea culpa and then proceed to express our feelings of visual distress that the following modified G-Class has caused us by watching it.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has always looked like a brick on wheels and there wasn't any shame in it. Its Bauhaus design was from the start chosen with functionality in mind, dominating over the aesthetics/aerodynamics of a regular car.
This hasn't stopped myriads of aftermarket tuners trying to increase its “get outta my way” visual persona with all kinds of body kits. Some of them were mildly tasteful while others were downright offensive to the eye.
When you take one of the offensive ones and pair it with a blue/purple and gold livery strait out of a colorblind's coloring book the result can be downright sinful.
That seems to be the case with the following Mercedes-Benz G 55 AMG with a body kit by ART, spotted by YouTube user SuperCarExotics somewhere in Dubai. From our point of view it looks as if a lego brick has had a little hot rendezvous with an LA Lakers t-shirt and we may be looking at the product of their consumed love. The Eww-meter is off the charts, that's for sure.
