Let's just say that we like these spy photos of the 4 Series undisguised so much that we're wondering how organs costs these days. A kidney for a kidney grille anyone?
BMW took the all-new, not-yet-revealed 4 Series Coupe out for a leisurely night stroll. Heavy security indicates this is an organized attempt at creating press/brochure photos for the hot new coupe which will reportedly enter production this summer, and go on sale in the fall.
Upon closer inspection, the car clearly labels its identity on the right hand of the boot: "435i". Clearly, this coupe is still powered by a six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, probably making 320 hp. Only a few other engines will be available from launch, most likely the four-cylinder 328i and a big diesel. xDrive and an automatic gearbox will both be available for people who many comfort and safety.
The F32 chassis of the 4 Series has been derived from the F30 sedan and as such is wider and loger than the E92 it replaces. In 2014, BMW will launch the very first M4 model, which will also use a six-cylinder engine, though one that's been tuned to make 420 horsepower with as little lag as possible. Cabrio and Gran Coupe models will soon also fill the 4 Series range.
We know these spy photos ruined the surprise and excitement of the actual reveal, but as far as we're concerned this is still the last car you could ever want.
