The Tesla Motors insignia clearly is related to the genius Serbian-American Nikola Tesla who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. Some like it, others don’t, but there clearly is something cool to its design; it’s a lot more than a simple “T”. To prove that, a LEGO enthusiast recently unveiled his tribute to the Tesla Motors logo.
Unfortunately, we haven’t had the time to visit this year’s Brickworld Chicago 2015 fair, but we did find an interesting clip showcasing one of the stands present this year. As opposed to the regular sculptures you’d usually see at these sort of events, there was one enthusiast who decided to pay his tribute to the popular Electric Vehicle.
The Tesla Motors logo is the brainchild of Adrian Drake. The LEGO enthusiast claims he began his project by copying the insignia in .eps format from the company website and then expanded it to the largest size his plotter at work could print and used that as his template. What clearly stands out is its rather mysterious capacity to stay in one piece event hough it’s quite small at the base.
Since no Electric Vehicle would be that cool without the proper charging station, another fellow brick builder has recreated the Tesla Motors Supercharger too. Whether or not it also comes with the new cooling vents technology, it’s up to you to discover. We did find both quite impressive and noteworthy.
