Mad Max is an iconic movie, but its heritage goes far beyond the film-making realm: it's about the bikes and the whole motorcycle culture inspired by that story. And since some heroes never die, here's a Japanese tribute to Jim "The Goose" Rains and his MFP bike, now offered as a kit for more bikes than the original Kawasaki.
The Japan-based workshop White House is offering the MFP Goose kit for the Kawasaki 1100 Zephyr and Suzuki GSX 1400, named Midnight and Falcon, respectively. The kit comes complete with the full front cowl and windshield, full tail section with brake light and custom seat, and the MFP-themed mufflers, new indicators and handlebars.
The silver-blue color scheme, badges, siren and decals are optionals, and most likely they're only a hardcore fans' treat.
As far as we saw on White House's website, the kit retails for prices between 1 and 1.2 million Japanese yens, and this means a hefty sum in the $10k (€7,750) area: clearly a Jim Rains' diehard fan item! Spotted by Return of the Cafe Racers.
