The new Peugeot 308 has been revealed a few months ago, but the French carmaker has yet to release the full info on their premium-ish compact hatchback contender. Until those tasty numbers are released by the French automaker, we have the press photos Peugeot has yet to reveal and will likely attach to a press release in the coming days.
The new 308 will feature Peugeot’s latest styling direction, evolved from the 208 into a more premium shape.
The second generation of Peugeot 308 will be sold in four trim levels with prices starting from €17,800 in France: Access, Active, Allure and Feline.
The basic Access will come as standard with a tried and tested 1.2-liter VTi petrol engine producing 82 PS and putting out 114 grams of CO2 per kilometer. That's about the only cheap model in the range. The same Access basic trim level also comes with a 1.6 HDi diesel producing 95 PS that costs a whooping €21,250.
The higher grade Active trim level comes with the same engines we mentioned above, but also introduces the 115 PS version of the 1.6 HDI from €24,300 and a new 1.6-liter turbo petrol with 125 PS from €22,150. In the Allure trim level, you also have the more powerful 155 PS version of the 1.6 THP turbo for €25,400. The range-topping Feline, which has 18-inch alloys wheels, parking sensors all round and a panoramic roof starts at €27,500 for the 1.6-liter THP or €28,350 for the diesel. Eventually, a hot hatch version of the car will go on sale, previewed by the 308 R Concept to be shown in Frankfurt.
Set to be assembled in Sochaux, the new 308 will receive its engines from the Tremery and Douvrin plants. The same Sochaux also makes he 3008, 50008 and the related Citroen DS5 premium model.
