Cal Crutchlow Pleased with the New Argentina Track, Rumored to Make Team Choice Soon
With Cal Crutchlow's third podium in a row, showing some impressive riding and amazingly still out of contract, it's only natural that many are eyeing him, press and more carefully - certain MotoGP teams. However, he seems to care rather little about his future contract, as he's down in Argentina, testing the tarmac of the all-new Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo.
Crutchlow is attending a two-day test in Argentina, alongside Stefan Bradl, Alvaro Bautista and Hector Barbera, who is also the only CRT rider in these tests. Moto2 riders Tito Rabat and Nico Terol are also present.

Crutchlow already put down 29 laps in the pre-lunch session on the 4.8 km (~2,98 miles) track and was impressed by how fast the circuit is, and enjoyed the succession of both long and fast corners with the tight ones which make establishing the right pace a major priority.

The winds around the paddocks also brought in some rumors, that Cal is somewhat closing to the point where he would make a decision a far as his future team in MotoGP is concerned.

MotoMatters knows about Cal meeting Yamaha and Tech 3's Herve Poncharal in Mugello, and it looks like the discussions were carried through Assen, though with no definitive result. Yamaha's boss Lin Jarvis said they would like to keep Crutchlow with Tech 3, though he did express his doubts that the factory could (or simply would) provide full-support for his Tech 3 machine (like Bradl gets from Honda).

When asked whether Pol Espargaro was signed for Tech 3, Javis made no further comments. Will Sachsenring be the place where we find Crutchlow's decision? Honestly, we doubt, but time is ticking...
