Set to become the world’s largest market for luxury good in the coming years, the Chinese automotive market has grown increasingly attractive for high-performance luxury car manufacturers.
The latest important brand to join the “Chinese party” is German specialist Brabus, who has created the 60 S Dragon Edition. Based on the Mercedes-Benz S600, the China-exclusive offering is powered by a modified 6.3-liter V12 engine that delivers 730 HP and 811 lb-ft of torque.
The power enables the limo to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standing start in only four seconds, while top speed is rated at over 186 mph (300 km/h). Exterior-wise, the Dragon sports restyled bumper, side skirts and front fenders and several gold dragon badges. Inside, the flagship vehicle comes with premium leather upholstery, wood trims, new floor mats, and enough gold dragons to make it look like Emperor Puyi’s 1932 Cadillac.
No word on pricing yet, but we have a feeling that the amount of $ asked for this Brabus won’t be too much of an effort for the regular Triad wallet.
