HONDA VT750C2 Shadow Spirit (2008-2009) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2008, the Japanese motorcycle maker released the Honda VT750C2 Shadow Spirit, a middleweight cruiser motorcycle that packed the same characteristics as the previous one without significant modifications.

The bike debuted in 2007 when Canadian journalist David Booth said the "VT750C2 is essentially the mechanicals of the VT750C Aero mated to the styling of the VT750D Spirit, with a few essential tweaks."

The Honda VT750C2 borrowed the engine from the Aero model. It was fitted with a CV carburetor for the North American Market and a Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system in other countries.

Performance-wise, the 2008 Honda VT750C2 Shadow Spirit's heartbeat was set to life by a 745cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine underneath its stylish fuel tank. It boasts 42 hp at 5,500 rpm and 61 Nm (44 lb-ft) torque at 3,000 rpm.

The bike was manufactured around a steel frame, which housed the suspension system, comprised of a 41 mm raked-out telescopic fork on the front with 130 mm wheel travel and two five-position spring preload adjustable shock absorbers on the rear with 90 mm of travel.

The bike's aesthetic department was characterized by standard features, such as a round headlight dressed in a chromed housing, a one-piece dual seat, a dual chromed exhaust system, a wide, pulled-back handlebar, and wire-spoke wheels with a narrow tire on the front and a fat one on the rear.
