BENELLI Tre 1130 Tornado (2005-2006) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2006, the Italian motorcycle producer released the Benelli Tre 1130 Tornado, a sports machine created for those riders searching for a zero-compromise motorcycle when it came to performance.

The Benelli Tre 1130 Tornado was a sports motorcycle presented and introduced in 2006, powered by a 1,130cc three-cylinder engine already used by the TNT model.

One notable feature was the under-seat-mounted radiator that distributed 50 percent of the weight to the front chassis. This technique enhanced precision in all riding conditions and when entering bends.

The bike was built around a steel front and rear aluminum frame with a 50 mm adjustable inverted Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front and an asymmetric swingarm coupled to an adjustable shock on the rear, offering excellent handling capabilities.

As for the stopping power, two 320 mm brake discs with four-piston calipers handled the front wheel, and a 240 mm brake disc with a dual-piston caliper controlled the rear wheel.

Power-wise, the 2006 Benelli Tre 1130 Tornado delivered 163 hp with a peak at 10,500 rpm and 123 Nm (91 lb-ft) torque at 8,000 rpm, coming from a 1,130cc four-stroke three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine installed underneath the fuel tank.

As for the visual department, the bike packed standard fittings, like a full fairing, a vertical headlight, a windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with an optional pillion cover, a three-into-one exhaust system with a muffler mounted on the right-hand side, and five-spoke alloy wheels.
