APRILIA Caponord 1200 ABS Travel Pack (2014-2015) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia ETV 1200 Caponord was a travel enduro motorcycle presented at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan and manufactured between 2013 and 2016. The sale name was borrowed from the Italian for the North Cape.

In 2014, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia Caponord 1200 ABS Travel Pack, an adventure motorcycle fitted with several long-distance accessories, enhancing its touring capabilities.

The bike was fitted with standard features, such as a half fairing with a three-headlight system, a medium-sized windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rail, side-mounted panniers, a single exhaust system, and six-spoke alloy wheels.

In addition, the 2014 model came standard with all the advanced technologies used by Aprilia on the RSV4 machine but tuned down to be more user-friendly. Other features include the ride-by-wire system, two-channel ABS, and Aprilia Traction Control (ATC).

As for the power figures, the 2014 Aprilia Caponord 1200 ABS Travel Pack had installed a 1,197cc four-stroke V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering an output power of 125 hp with a peak force at 8,250 rpm and 114 Nm (84 lb-ft) torque at 6,800 rpm.

The bike's 17-inch front wheel was guided by a 43 mm adjustable upside-down Sachs fork and stopped by two 320 mm stainless steel floating discs. The 17-inch rear wheel was controlled by an adjustable shock absorber and a 240 mm stainless steel disc.
